  gik frit vi ind og ud,
  har vi haft hjertens glæde,
  det alt er fra vor Gud;
  og satte han med fred
  i kirke og i skole
  ej nådig til os stole
  midt i sin kristenhed?
  
  Vi føle må med smerte,
  det alt er ufortjent,
  men Gud har faderhjerte
  til synder hver omvendt;
  tror vi kun på hans Søn,
  tilgiver han os brøden,
  formindsker daglig nøden,
  forøger troens løn.
  
  Vor Fader i det høje,
  som var i år så mild!
  Vi nåde for dit øje
  har fundet hidindtil;
  i Jesu Kristi navn
  vi beder dig så såre:
  Vær dobbelt mild ad åre!

  To God the anthem raising,
