These two cobs are mostly identical except that at several locations, a run of three or more closely spaced single pin notes is changed to two pin notes at half the repetition rate. There are also a few locations where more than two single pin notes are merged into a single note. Cob 1090a with the closely spaced notes has a two circle style name label and is believed to be the earlier of the two.
