On cob 247b there are two closely spaced pins everywhere that there is a single pin on version 247. “Double pin” versions have also been found for cobs #109 - Marching Through Georgia and #123 - Home, Sweet Home.

Notice the photo of the number labels for these cobs at the end of this page. Cob 247b is mislabeled with a label for cob 1224 Evening Star. This double pinned cob could not have been made any earlier than the introduction of cob 1224.
